Hey!

I'm Radhika Goel, a counseling psychologist (M.A Counseling Psychology) with 4+ years and 350+ sessions of experience.

I specialise in trauma-focused and body-based work. My approach explores the connection between the mind and body through somatic therapy. I'm here to support you in the process of exploring safety. I believe in understanding and respecting all aspects of who you are, which is why I take an culturally and socially sensitive approach. I tend to bring in creative activities like art and movement to equip you with necessary ways of expression and coping. My goal is to create a welcoming space where you feel empowered to explore, heal, and grow.

I work with concerns like personal development, relationship concerns, identity and self, trauma, anxiety, grief and loss, stress management, career-workplace concerns and life transitions.

Healing is not about being a better version of yourself. It is about accepting all versions of yourself, especially the ones that are the most difficult to understand.

Know More About Me as a Therapist

There are times when we self medicate or try home remedies when feeling unwell. If the issues persist, we often visit a doctor for support. It would require us to take certain measures that might not always be convenient to heal. Similarly, we can go to mental health professionals for support when there are mental health concerns that are difficult to take care of on our own. "Jaise dil aur dimaag ke doctor hote hain, psychologists mann ke doctor hote hain."

How I think of therapy

I work to facilitate a process that helps you bridge and strengthen the connection between the mind and body. I believe that the body holds more than we know and my approach centers around finding ways to assess the body in a safe way. My somatic or body-based approach helps to understand and experience the visceral responses and work on regulation of the nervous system.

I am well aware of the role that social and political structures can play in shaping our understanding of self and the world. I actively work towards decoding and challenges these systems, integrating an intersectional and contextual lens.

As a therapist, I believe that every person has their journey and they receive therapeutic modalities differently. I take a collaborative approach with my clients to co-develop practices that work for the client based on feedback and active participation from the client.

How I am as a therapist

I have always appreciated spaces of support for my own self. I acknowledge the importance of having a space where one can share their most intimate experiences with a sense of trust and safety. I wish to facilitate these space for people and it motivates me to be in this profession.

Why I Became a Therapist

A relationship that is created on trust and safety, it is an honor to be able to get a window seat to someone's inner world. To be able to witness narratives, difficult experiences, visceral shifts and honest conversations unfold in the healing journey of an individual's life.
