I'm Aarushi Kohli, a counseling psychologist (M.A and Advanced Diploma in Counseling Psychology) with 4+ years and 1300+ sessions of experience.
I believe in using a mix of different therapy techniques to help you. I combine ideas from CBT, DBT, and Narrative Therapy. We'll work on changing unhelpful thoughts and behaviors, managing emotions better, and understanding your life story in a way that makes sense to you. My goal is to provide you with a supportive and collaborative therapeutic environment where you feel empowered to explore, grow, and create positive change in your life.
I work with concerns like depression, anxiety, cptsd, lifestyle and life stage difficulties, relationship/interpersonal navigation and work life balance.
In our collaborative work, with curiosity and compassion we will walk towards empowerment.

How I am as a therapist
It started from finding one reason for why we behave the way we do, to finding that the mind is a space of never ending possibilities with its dynamics and therefore the curiosity to learn about that. Currently, an added reason and motivation would be to destigmatize mental health and make it more accessible.
Why I Became a Therapist
One of the many reasons I love my job is that it allows me to experience the strength of collaborative work, as well as the Beauty of the parts (the individuals).
I think the ability to explore and experience the pre existing strengths, nurturing the same, experiencing the building of a new narrative and watching each person bloom into who they (already) are as an individual entity has allowed me to appreciate beauty a lot more.
